Books anyone?

have a question for you all. Do you know of any good books I can read? Our library doesn't really have a great selection, and I am missing being able to read!!
The books don't have to be just Christian, but I don't like romance.:)

  1. What sort of genres do you like? I can recommend TONS of good books, but what sort do you read already? I see that you might like young adult fantasy novels. Have you read the Earthsea Trilogy by Ursula K LeGuin?

  3. Hey, sorry I haven't gotten back to you. I got caught up in the beginning of the new semester and everything.

I would still like to recommend books for you. The Earthsea Trilogy you should definitely try out. I haven't finished every book, but 1-3 are EXCELLENT. Have you read the Thief of Eddis books by Megan Whaler Turner? If you haven't, those books are even better! A fourth one is coming out in March, and I am really excited!

Have you read Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre? Have you read East by Edith Pattou? A beautiful novel! What about Susanna Clarke's Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell and her short stories collection The Ladies of Grace Adieu? LOVE THOSE! Have you read anything by Francine Rivers? Her Mark of the Lion series was excellent. Have you read Flames of Rome by Paul Maier? Very good book about christian persecution under Nero.

I can recommend more but I shall wait to hear what you say about those. Hehe! ;)

  4. Have you read anything by Sigmund Brouwer? His most popular book is "Wings of Dawn" which is amazing, and he has many others.

The Megan Whalen Turner books are awesome! The series includes The Thief, The Queen of Attolia, The King of Attolia, and Conspiracy of Kings. They are all amazing!
